It was that bag that changed my life.  I was flying home from Egypt in my tennis shoes, cheap pants and my latest “briefcase”, a tote bag I bought at Hold Everything.   My elegant seat mate was in a stylish knit dress with boots.  (Who wears boots to travel in? Only style DIVAS.)  At her feet was a beautiful bag with gold zippers, nice, thick, rolled leather handles and it looked so neat and tidy.  I had never seen anything like it, so I had to ask her,  “Where did you get that bag? “  “MZ Wallace”, came the reply.  “it’s a diaper bag”.  A diaper bag?  Are you kidding me?  The only diaper bags I’ve ever seen look worse than my Hold Everything tote!  (OK, there’s nothing wrong with the tote.  It’s functional, inexpensive and holds lots of stuff, but stylish is not a word I would attach to it).   For the rest of the 10 hour flight, I kept staring at the bag.  It looks so nice I kept thinking.

We started talking, complaining about the lack of great travel clothes and accessories for women.  Briefcases are built for men, are too heavy, backpacks are too casual, rollies..  OK, let’s not even GO there.  She said she really liked this bag, so I got home and googled it and then I ordered one from Nordstrom. You can see more details here:  http://www.mzwallace.com/search/kate.

The Black Bedford Kate.  It’s fantastic.  It is huge!  It holds a 17 inch laptop, an ipad, kindle, Bose headphones, my purse, and all of my other things I need when I travel - Earplugs, IPhone, Ipod, toothbrush, tissues, water bottle, business cards, notebook, pens, passport, vaccination record (did I say I travel to all the glamorous places?), etc.  This bag has been a wonderful discovery.  It looks good enough to take to a client’s, but is casual enough that I don’t feel like I am being too showy when I’m in a less developed country.  All of the compartments are fantastic, so I finally have a place for everything, and I know where everything is.  Also, it has a beautiful red lining, so it’s easy to see what’s in the bag.  Also, it is very light!

It sits perfectly on top of my rolling suitcase.  Speaking of which, I’m looking for a LIGHT rolling suitcase that will hold up to travel and is reasonably priced.  If you know of one, please drop me a line.

Finally I have the perfect briefcase for me.  Now, if I could just find the perfect shoes…..
